Avenue Church: Trauma Training with Kimberly Malloy

Everyone has experienced some degree of trauma and far too many have multiple layers. We believe healthy curiosity will help heal a traumatized world! Healthy curiosity asks “I wonder what that person has experienced?” instead of “What’s wrong with that person?”

Trauma needs to be healed in community.  Learn what happens to the brain in trauma, the  brain’s predictive nature and the impact trauma has on our physical, mental and emotional health.
A caring question, genuine empathy and a small act of kindness can have a major impact on a trauma survivor.

Be curious instead of judgmental.  It could benefit someone you love.
